Electrical switches in door latches may fail on Mercedes-Benz ML500

Electrical switches in the door latches can fail, causing the door locks to rapidly actuate up and down multiple times when the locks are activated by either the keyless remote or door lock switch. A new door latch will need to be installed.

Right rear door lock solenoid activates severl times when you try to lock the doors and the right rear door will not lock. It activates rapidly 3 - 4 times.
2 door locks failed recently...expensive fix...like always.
Drivers door won't lock unless I'm driving and lock it manually. Then when I stop and open the door the door unlocks and won't lock again.
Very frustrating !!!

The lock actuator won't work. I have to manualy lock and if I left it while i am drving it keeps on clicking. Not yet fixed, the mechanic said it cost me $300 each per door.

I have the same problem!! Very frustrating.
When I lock my door with the key, it clucks about 4 times before locking the door, except for one, the back lock.
This has been a nightmare.....replaced over time 4 door actuator/switches. Independent mechanic replaced each one for a cost of about $450 each
