front seat controls don't work all the time, recently the radio stpped working (after new transmission install), car phone screen always says power ON and center front vents don't work. HELP!

    You will need to perform an electrical diagnosis of this problem, which requires a wiring diagram, voltmeter and electrical diagnostic experience. If you have these 3 things, then you have a shot, if not, I suggest you take it to a repair shop. Good Luck!

    Intermittent operation and ultimately failure of the electrical controls for seat position (both seats) in my son's C230 were cured by replacing relay part number 002-542-22-19, list price $42.90. It's an easy plug-in fix. Before replacing the relay, check fuse modules both under hood and in trunk to make such intermittent operation isn't caused by oxidation on fuses. There is a guide to fuse numbers and functions under the lids to the fuse modules. Several fuses in both modules protect the electric seat functions. Simply pull the fuses out and replace them several times to ensure contact surfaces are shiney (corrosion-free). I'm thinking it's probably the relay, though. Not sure I can help with the other issues.
