My Mazda B2600I Pickup is getting bad mileage, overdrive doesn't kick in till 60 mph and now it will turn over but will not start. Could it be electrical? This is a recurring problem after replacing the distributor and, electrical part of the ignition switch, TPS and everything else checked out ok.

Visitor, March 25, 2010, 22:55Look for spark out of the coil if there is none check the coil for having 12 volts with the key on. If it does then check the ignitor which is mounted right next to the could under a reservoir of some sort if it is none of the above it is most likely a wiring fault or an ECM problem. I went through this on my 91

Visitor, January 13, 2011, 16:17I have a 1991 Mazda B2600 4x4, I had No spark condtion, ended up being the ECM. this was 12 years ago, they wanted over $1300. for new ECM, I did not have that kind of money, so I pulled ECM out and looked at curcuit board and saw oil residue under one of the capacitors, went to the local electronics shop and fixxed it for 32 CENTS. still have truck!
