Electrical ? on 2000 Chrysler Concorde

2000 concorde electrical problem? My battery light is always on and all the other warning lights go on and off and then the car will die when shut off. A quick jump and all is fine for a while and then it starts again.... any ideas?

battery light MAY be on because the alternator is not charging. or the battery is so old, it no longer can be charged by the alternator. or both. best to have it checked by a shop.
