2002 Saturn SC2 Question: Electric mirror replacement

Rookie

I am replacing the drivers side electric mirror. I have the top cover off and the door panel off. I am ready to install the new mirror but can not find where to plug in the wires for the mirror or how to get to the inside of the door to do so.

This model Saturn is strange, the outer door panel comes off not the inner door trim panel to do some repairs like replacing the electrical window motor/regulator assembly. I wonder is this what is happening in your case that you have to pull of the outer door "skin" to get at a connector that is concealed.

Rookie

I was able to get to the wiring for the electrical mirror by taking off the inner door pannel, removing the speaker and then feeling my way up inside of the door. Hopefully this helps someone who has the same problem.
