1994 Dodge Ram 1500 Q&A
1994 Dodge Ram 1500 Question: egr valve
I don't think you did anything wrong. You may have replaced the EGR Valve, but the problem may be elsewhere. Your statement that "I not getting any power sound" leads me to think that your Catalytic Converter may me plugged up. Catalytic Converter damage on these models is not unusual. If you rev the engine in park and the exhaust sounds muffled or restricted, then your converter should be suspected. Another area to check is your fuel pump. Have the fuel pressure and fuel pump volume checked as a restricted fuel pump will give you similar symptoms. - Johnny Mopar

The mechanic said the EGR valve needs to be replaced. He said also the timing chain rail, water pump, spark plugs, oil filter,...
Where is the EGR valve located.
I changd the egr valve to stop the rough idle but it continues to smoke from exhaust
