What size wench and type do I need to change my egr valve on my explorer?

    There is two sizes of wrenches needed for this vehicle EGR valve, but I must advise you if you are replacing the valve because of diagnostic trouble codes. There is a bulletin published that states if certain EGR codes are set, replace the DPFE sensor with an updated version. The DPFE sensor is a feedback sensor that sends a voltage to the computer of how much the EGR is flowing. It is a common failure and much easier to replace.

    Brian, thanks for the reply , I,ll probably take the vehicle in if its that involved. What size are the wrenches u have to use, just curious. Thanks
