Sometimes the egine revs on it's own and I have to keep my foot all the way on the brake. What could be causing the egine to rev on it's own?

Possibly your throttle position sensor is failing $63 and about a 1/2 hour to replace but the shop can test this component before replacing.

Mine did the same thing, found out it was a part called tube it was easy to replace. Your closest dealership will have it and when you get it you can see exactly where it goes so there is no confusion. Oh it cost me about 150 bucks but it was worth it.
