While traveling across country my car broke down just outside of Monroe. I took it to Edwards for repairs. My car was returned to me 3 days later and after driving another hour and a half the same issues reoccurred. I returned to Edwards because of their money back guarantee first thing the next morning. That day I was told they were working on it and it would be ready the following day. The next day I called and was told they ran into issues, it would be ready the following day. The next day I went into the shop and they showed me that the parts needed were the same as what went wrong before, however they could not order them until Monday because the part store was closed on weekends. Why they didn't realize this on thursday or friday when the part store was open is beyond me, however it is obvious that my car did not get any attention for those 3 days. Otherwise they would have known about the parts. The only way I was ever able to get any actual information regarding the status of my car was to show up in person.
Once the parts came in I was continually given the same answer, "working on it, it should be ready tomorrow." I continually had to push back work and cancel jobs. After 2 weeks, they were still unable to solve the issue with my car. They suggested ordering new parts again when I finally demanded my money back, rented a uhaul and towed my car to Arizona, costing me over $1200.
As another posting states, he refused to give me the sales tax back saying it is not fair for him to have to pay the tax. After thinking about it, he doesn't have to pay taxes on a sale that has been refunded. Instead he just made off with an extra $250. If this happens to you to, do not let him get away with this, it is illegal for him to charge for taxes without a sale.
Upon returning to Phoenix, my car was in and out of a shop in less than 3 days and cost $500 less than i was charged by Edwards Transmission. After everything I experienced, I would NOT recommend this place to anyone.
