2000 Mercedes-Benz CLK430

Question: economy ac switch comes on. ac won't until restart

I've had several ac problems that have recently been remedied ,except that the economy ac switch will come on when you start the car sometimes.The only way to get the ac to come on is turn the car off and restart.Any ideas?

    I would scan the A/C Climate Control Computer for codes. I would also scan the data stream of the A/C system while it operates to see if there is malfunctioning sensor or component.
