I had two car services there. They told me how long it would be. I went to eat and then I went back for an estimate of what is going on. They were very helpful and informative. I am a mechanic so I can tell when they are pulling me around. They were very helpful, the customer service was good, and they are very friendly. I got there in the morning and they got a rush of people. They helped everyone and were polite.
I think they need to learn how to save customers money. $10 voucher I can use next time since I paid more than $80 for a oil change trip. They have a scheme of save $10 if you spend more than $50. My AC on other car was fine a little leak was there which requires just a refill and it was good for the summer. But they given a quote of $400 to replace parts and labor. I guess they can improve on recommendations.
They aren't too pushy with their recommendations. When I share a concern, like it may be time to change my brake pads they are honest and won't recommend a service unless it is really necessary. My only recommendation would be the timeliness in their completion of work or setting better expectations as to how long a service would take. I typically wait for my oil change and it would be great to know how long they expect it to take.
I am overall satisfied with the service and the lack of propensity to always try to upsell me like many dishonest mechanics do. Only issue is that last time they recommended changing my belts and hoses and I declined. When I asked about it this time, they said my belts and hoses are fine and don't need to be changed. Wondering why they recommended I change them last time. Seems shady.
I've been going to the Powers Ferry location for about 20 years and they've been extremely helpful. I've also been dealing with Vernon for at least 10 years. He is very personable and responsive to a customer's needs. Vernon and John are the two best employees at Powers Ferry that I deal with on a regular basis.
