Water got into the headlights and one of the side lights during heavy rains. Now I have condensate on the lens inside. How do I dry out the lights and then prevent it from happening again without complete replacement?

I removed the bulbs from the lamps (don't touch the glass on the bulbs it will shorten the life of the bulbs, I then used a hair dryer set low and a short rubber coolant hose I had in my garage but I am sure you can improvise some sort of hose or way to get the hairdryer air into the lamps. The lamps should be water tight and be able to prevent water entering the lamps.
