 Rookie

I just started experiencing this problem, I've ony owned the car for2 weeks, while driving the car stalled, hesitataed and the lurched, it's practically dragging, and i'm afarid to drive because when i am stopped behind someone and I hit the gas to go when the light changes the car won't go it'll drag and then suddenly lunge forward, what is that? It hasn't completelt stopped and yes my check engine light was on a couple of days ago, I took it to the shop and they read the codes and deleted one.

  what were the codes and why did he clear them without looing at the freeze frame data?
