DRIVER'S VISOR FALLS AND INTERIOR LIGHTS FLICKER on 2008 Saturn Vue

My driver's sunvisor won't stay up, apparently problem affects the interior lights, they won't come on or they flicker while visor is loose. Visor will not stay in the stowed position- will stay if flipped down to shield the sun. Constant since last week. 20 April 2011

You may be able to tighten an adjustment on the sunvisor, also there may be wiring damage in the sunvisor mounting area or in the sunvisor itself if there are lights incorporated in it. If you want to find a specialist, here's a directory link for you: https://repairpal.com/directory?address=73160&car_brand_names=Saturn

YES I HAVE THE SAME ISSUSE 2 WEEKS AGO.THE DRIVERS SIDE SUN VISOR AND BAR THAT EXTENDS VISOR WAS SCALDING HOT! I TURNED THE VISOR TO THE WINDOW FOR SUN AND BURNED MY HAND ON THE METAL BAR WHICH DID NOT HAVE A PLASTIC COVERING ON IT. THE LIGHTS IN THE CAR WERE SHORTING ON AND OFF CONTINUOUSLY, EVEN AFTER THE CAR WAS OFF AND KEYS WERE OUT OF IGNITION.THIS WAS A VERY SCARY SITUATION EACH TIME THIS HAPPENED BECAUSE THE CAR SMELLED LIKE IT WAS GOING TO CATCH ON FIRE! I BURNED MY LEFT HAND FINGER.WOULD LIKE TO WARN YOU OF THE POSSIBLE FIRE ISSUE HERE.THIS DEFINITELY SHOULD BE ON A RECALL FOR THIS VEHICLE, AS I HAVE HEARD OTHERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM OCCURRING. . I CALLED GM CORP. THEY TOLD ME THAT THERE IS NO RECALL ON THIS ISSUSE AND THAT THERE IS NO DEFECT ON THE WIRING OR SUN VISOR ISSUSE IM HAVING, THEY TOLD ME THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO... I HAVE TO PAY 700.00 TO GET IT FIXED MY SELF...
