Question: Driver's Side Exterior Mirror Cracked

I have a vertical crack in the driver's side exterior mirror. I checked the AutoZone website and they have a replacement mirror for $99.00. Does the whole mirror need to be replaced or can the glass be replaced? Is it difficult to replace the mirror? What's involved?

    It's normally not a problem to replace the glass rather than the whole assembly. A repair manual or a subscription to a service like www.alldatadiy.com will give you some diagrams and steps specific to your car about how the assembly comes apart.
