driver side power window won't go up on 1997 Chevrolet Monte Carlo

driver side power window won't go up - other side works fine. no sounds, just won't work.

you need to check the master switch for an up command. if it has it, then the motor is the culprit. Roy

i have put in two motors for my drivers side window and they keep burning up and i also put in a new switch. I just dont know what to do now.

Sometimes you can open the door and while holding the switch button in the up position slam the door shut with the switch button held up and it can jar the motor loose

Thanks for the info; our passenger power window on our astro van would completely close. We tried this and it worked.

it worked for me aswell but it still wouldn't go all the way up, is there anymore tricks?
