2001 Volvo S80 Question: Driver seat controls do not always work

Question

Visitor, 2.8L 6 Cylinder Turbo, Mauldin, SC, June 20, 2010, 15:23

When operating the vehicle the driver seat controls do not work. When stopping and turning off the vehicle, restarting within 2 - 10 minutes does not correct the problem with driver seat controls. I have to wait up to 30 minutes to beable to use the driver seat control but only if the car is turned off and allowed to sit. Then if adjustments are not made within 1 -2 minutes of starting the car, nthe controls do not work. The passenger seat control will work at all times wioth no issues even when the driver seat controls are not working.

Have a Volvo shop check the Driver Seat Control Module for any recorded trouble codes to see if it has registered a fault. Have the shop check for any technical service bulletins from Volvo regarding this issue.
