The door handle on driver side doesn't opwn the door. I assume a cable broke? If so how do you repair it?

The 2001 Intrepid uses metal rods "links" to operate the door locks, latches and key cylinder. You do not mention if it is the inside or outside handle which is inoperative. The inside handle is known to break where the link rod retainer pivots on the actuator lever. If you had your car "slim jimmed" for any reason, the link rods may have disengaged from their respective retainers. The Outside handle has an adjustment screw (5/32 allen head). access to this screw is a hole just below the latch, usually covered with transparent tape. This can be adjusted by loosening the screw about 1 turn, pull and release the outside door handle, and secure the screw. If this is unsuccessful, the removal of the door trim panel will be required to locate the cause.

Its the indoor handle. The outside works fine.
