It'll need a replacement if it broke. You can check the price and availability at an auto parts recycler (junkyard). I think it'll cost about 1.5 hrs labor at your local rate.

more than likely it is not a driveshaft. you may have a broken driveshaft flex disc. have the car towed to a shop that specializes in MB
