where is the drain plug on my transmission

    There is no drain plug, you have to remove the transmission oil pan to get the oil out once you do this you also have to change the filter element inside the transmission which will be visible once you remove the oil pan.

    I was told by the dealer that there's no filter just a drain.

    there is a drain plug on the 2006 Nissan Maxima. Its a flat plug with a square hole the size a little smaller then 3/8 ratchet. When you raise the car from the front, you will notice the plug right in the center
