Doors locks & car alarm on 2002 Honda Accord

I have a key remote which I use to unlock my doors but sometimes when I get in the car & shut my door, the door locks itself. Also my car alarm is not working--are these problems connected? If not how can I fix both?

It sounds like you have a problem with your door locks actuating by them selves and this could effect your alarm. The best way is to have a scan performed to see if a micro switch in one of the door locks is malfunctioning. ( commonly the driver door ) This may correct the alarm problem as well, because the alarm has to see the proper signals from all the door locks before it can operate properly.
