MY 2000 JEEP WRANGLER RECENTLY FAILED INSPECTION.THE INSPECTOR SAID I NEEDED A NEW DONUT GASKET.WHILE REMOVING MY PIPE ,I NOTICED ONE OF THE TWO NUTS WAS LOOSE, AND THERE WAS NO DONUT GASKET.SO ,OBVIOUSLY I REALIZE I HAVE AN EXHAUST LEAK ,DO I SIMPLY TIGHTEN THE TWO NUTS, OR DO I NEED A DONUT GASKET AS WELL? OH ALSO, WHEN I TRIED TO GET ONE FOM THE DEALER,I WAS TOLD THE PART WASNT SHOWING ON HIS COMPUTER.

the gasket in question is near the exhaust manifold you should see two or three threaded bolts loosen the nuts and pull back the pipe to free the donut gasket and replace.

i have found some exhaust to be modified so therfore may not be one!
Also that dont give a crap about your part and just there to get a pay check hate to say it but have come across quite a few picking up parts for my employer.
So i would check w/ another dealer and or rep. part store
