This applies to replacing the Air Compressor on a single Engine Dodge caravan, 2001.

"Our," mechanic told us we had a unique engine model and the cost due to the rarity would be $1100.00. He also stressed that he had charged the min. on labor and most were the materials.

    First off you never state what the estimate is for so $1100 could either be right on or way off. Second, Why is this engine so unique? The 2.4 was available from 1996-2007. Does it run on CNG or LPG? Sorry to to even think about the estimate we need more info Like what is it for? FWD or AWD?
