The 4.3L V6 on the Astro Van has a timing chain, and only needs attention if it is noisy.

Have a 2002 astro van. It has been a good one. Very few problems for over 100.000 miles. Finally changed the water pump and fan belt with 155,000 miles on it. My brother has a 2006 astro van and samething for him. It now has 225,000 miles and it is still going strong! To bad they quit making them. I have had 4 and none were any trouble!!
