Does electronic throttle body need to be programmed after replacing? on 2004 Dodge Ram 1500

Throttle body warning light comes. Runs very poorly. Stores throttle body codes. Replaced throttle body. Same problem. Does it need to be programmed?

Try this: Get in your truck, turn the key to ON position (do not start the engine!) and within 3 seconds push the accelerator pedal to the floor and let it back. Turn the key off, than start it and see if it's working good now.
