The powertrain control module (PCM) manages the engine operation. Turbocharged vehicles equipped with a dual dry clutch transmission have a programming concern with the PCM that could allow the engine to stall when the outside temperature is below 20 degrees. An unexpected engine stall can increase the risk of a crash so your Dodge dealer will update the PCM programming to correct this problem.

The supplemental restraint system, commonly called the "airbag", consists of several "bags" that are very quickly inflated to help protect the vehicle occupants in the event of a crash. An on board computer uses information from various sensors to determine if and when the airbags should deploy. The affected vehicles may have a poor electrical connection in the front seat which could affect deployment of the side airbags and/or cause the airbag warning light to illuminate. Dealers will replace the airbag withing harness in both the driver and passenger front seats to correct this concern.

The airbag system is controlled by a computer called a control module. A component in the control module may fail causing the front airbags and/or seatbelt pretensioners to deploy inadvertently while the vehicle is being operated. Inadvertent deployment of any component of the airbag system could increase the risk of personal injury and the possibility of a crash. No remedy for this concern is available at this time but is expected later in 2013. The Chrysler recall number is N13.
For Models: Chrysler 200, Dodge Avenger
RepairPal Expert Overview:
The vehicle emission control system includes a fuel vapor canister that stores excess fuel vapors and then releases them to be burned when the engine is running. A broken control valve in the fuel tank assembly could allow liquid fuel to enter the vapor canister, resulting in an engine stalling condition and/or a fuel leak. Having the engine stall while driving increases the risk of a crash and any fuel leak always increases the risk of a fire. Dealers will inspect the fuel tank assembly on affected vehicles and replace a damaged control valve to correct this concern.
For Models: Dodge Durango
