The software for the radio is vulnerable to third party outside access. An unknown computer user could possibly exploit the vehicle software and remotely modify certain vehicle systems, resulting in the risk of an accident.
The driver's side curtain air bag may not be securely mounted, resulting in it possibly deploying improperly, or in the incorrect direction. This could increase risk of occupant injury in a crash.
The instrument cluster could malfunction and become inoperative, causing the gauges to oscillate at zero and keep the vehicle theft alarm indicator illuminated. This could increase risk of a crash.
The alternator can fail, causing loss of electrical power and possible engine stalling.
On vehicles equipped with a V6 engine, the battery cable to the starter motor could short circuit and catch fire. Chrysler is advising owners of affected vehicles not to drive or park in, or near any structures until the problem has been corrected.
