2003 Dodge Sprinter 3500 Problems
False ECM and /or ABS codes
False or unrelated trouble codes in the engine control module (ECM) and/or anti-lock brake module (ABS) may be caused by a brake light bulb issue or corrosion in the bulb socket or trailer harness connector. Our technicians tell us all bulbs should be inspected for correct function and application. Also, all related sockets, connectors, and circuit boards should be checked for corrosion if this issue occurs.
EVAP system faults
EVAP system faults may occur which can cause the Check Engine Light to illuminate. Our technicians tell us that checking the purge solenoid for debris or carbon particles, careful inspection of the EVAP hoses for cracks, and testing the gas cap are all necessary steps to begin to confirm the integrity of the EVAP system.
