Dodge Sprinter 2500: 08V109000
RepairPal Expert Overview
Our Quick Take:
There are various areas of a vehicle that are bolstered with reinforcements to protect occupants in a collision. One area is the "C-pillar," or the area on the side of the vehicle behind the front doors. On some Sprinter vans, the C-pillar protection pads were not installed, which poses a safety risk.
What Should You Do?
We at RepairPal have designated this a medium priority recall. Please contact your Dodge dealer. They will check to see if your specific vehicle is affected and advise you on what to do next. Always have your vehicle identification number (VIN) handy when you call.
The head impact protection pads may be missing from the C-pillar of some Sprinter vans. Missing head impact protection pads pose a safety risk to occupants in a collision. Dealers will inspect and install pads if missing. The Chrysler recall number is H09. This recall began on April 9, 2008.
