Chrysler Recalls 1994-1995 Dodge Rams Due to Defective Front Suspension Shock Towers
Suspension & Steering, March 20, 2000

RepairPal Expert Overview

Chrysler has recalled certain 1994-1995 Dodge Ram 1500/2500 models because the front suspension spring/shock towers can crack and eventually separate from the vehicle frame. This may damage the rear wheel brake lines and cause a loss of rear brake system pressure, which may increase stopping distance. Dealers will replace the tower on vehicles that show cracking. For others, a weld-on reinforcement will be added.
