Chrysler Recalls 2006 Dodge Rams Due to Problem with Transfer Case
Drive Train, November 7, 2005

RepairPal Expert Overview

Chrysler has recalled certain 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 models because the totally integrated power module (TIPM) may contain incorrect transfer case calibration set points, which may cause the transfer case to default to neutral. If this happens and the parking brake is not applied, the vehicle can roll away without warning. Dealers will reprogram the TIPM with new software.
