Dodge Ram 1500 Recall 03V503000
Chrysler Recalls 2004 Dodge Rams Due to Loose Fasteners on Transfer Case
Drive Train, December 22, 2003
RepairPal Expert Overview
Chrysler has recalled certain 2004 Dodge Ram 1500/2500 models because the transfer case to transmission attaching fasteners may not be tightened correctly. This may cause the transmission adapter or transfer case housing to crack. If not corrected, there may be propeller shaft separation and damage to fuel system components, which can lead to a fuel leak. In the presence of an ignition source, a fuel leak may result in a fire. Dealers will retighten the transfer case to transmission fasteners.
