Dodge Ram 1500 recall 02V159000

Chrysler Recalls 2002 Dodge Rams Due to Possible Brake Line Detachment
Drive Train, December 9, 2002

RepairPal Expert Overview

Chrysler has recalled certain 2002 Dodge Ram 1500/2500 models because the rear axle flange weld to the axle tube could fatigue, which can allow the brake caliper assembly to rotate. This may cause the brake line to separate from the caliper, which may result in a loss of brake fluid in the rear brake hydraulic system. Dealers will install rear brake caliper reinforcements on the rear axle assemblies.
