Dodge Nitro recall 09V438000

Windshield Wipers May Fail
Body, Interior & Misc., February 28, 2010

RepairPal Expert Overview

The windshield wipers may fail, resulting in impaired visibility during inclement weather conditions, increasing the risk of a crash.

Consider this a high priority recall; the windshield wipers could fail without warning. Please contact your Dodge dealer; they will check to see if your specific vehicle is affected and advise you on what to do next. Always have your vehicle identification number (VIN) handy when you call.

In some cases, high usage of the "delay" wiper mode may affect the primary wiper function, rendering the wipers inoperable. Dealers will inspect and update the wiper system and the totally integrated power module software to correct this issue. This recall is expected to begin during February of 2010. The Chrysler recall number is J28.
