Known Problems

The courtesy lights and liftgate ajar light may illuminate intermittently. Our technicians tell us that switching the wires at the liftgate ajar switch connector will correct this condition.

The anti-theft system may cause a no start condition due to electrostatic discharge (ESD) affecting the wireless control module (WCM). There is an updated WCM to correct this issue.

Some vehicles may develop a musty odor coming from the HVAC system, Dodge has issued a cleaner/disinfectant and a coating for the evaporator designed to inhibit bacterial growth.

One or more of the power door locks may become inoperative. Our technicians tell us that modifications to the door hardware and door panel may be necessary to correct this issue.


The engine may stall at times due to a software issue with the totally integrated power module (TIPM). Updating the TIPM software should correct this issue.

A coolant leak may be noted from the coolant reservoir. There is a service bulletin to relocate the coolant bottle vent hole to correct this condition.

A chirp noise may be noted from the serpentine belt when the steering wheel is at full lock and the engine is at idle. Our technicians tell us a revised belt tensioner is available to correct this concern.

The manual transmission may jump out of first gear. Our technicians tell us that replacing the first gear and 1-2 synchronizer should correct this concern.
