Improper fuel pressure or fuel pressure fluctuation may be cause by a faulty fuel pump module.
A high pitched whistling noise from the engine may be caused by the idle air control motor. Our technicians tell us there is a revised IAC motor to correct this condition.
A loud snapping noise may be heard from the exhaust after the engine has been shut off. Replacing the exhaust pipe may be necessary to correct this issue.
An intermittent stalling or no start condition may be caused buy a failure with the distributor pickup plate.
An erratic or intermittent rough idle during the first 3 minutes of engine operation my be caused by a faulty idle air control motor.
A faulty transmission control module may fail causing the engine to stall after starting or the transmission to become stuck in 2nd gear.
The alternator belt may develop a chirping or snapping noise over time due to pulley misalignment. There is a revised alternator bracket to address this concern. If there is still an issue after the bracket has been replaced washers can be used to align the alternator pulley.
