Report A Problem

A broken rear torsion bar can cause an abnormal noise over bumps. The torsion bar is part of the rear trailing arm, which must be replaced to correct this issue.

Fuel injectors or their o-rings may leak fuel causing the engine to burn too much fuel.

It is not unusual for engine vacuum hoses or sensor electrical connectors to cause driveability concerns and/or the Check Engine Light to illuminate.

A squeaking noise from the exhaust may be caused by a worn sealing ring between the exhaust manifold and the exhaust pipe.
It is recommend to change the engine oil and adjust it to the proper level and run the engine to bleed any trapped air from the valve lash adjusters before testing for excessive bleed down.
Oil leaks may develop from the valve cover gaskets, cam plugs, camshaft seals, front crankshaft seal, and the oil filler bracket.
A rattle noise may be noted from the rear brake pads which is eliminated when applying the brakes lightly. Revised rear brake pads are available to correct this condition.
A hesitation on acceleration may be caused by a plugged EGR valve back pressure tube. EGR valve replacement is not generally required.
The retainers on the horizontal wood door trim tend to break after repeated door slamming. Our technicians tell us that the trim can be secured by using silicone adhesive.
The brake pedal may not return to its fully released position causing the brake lights to stay on. If no brake pedal return spring is in stalled there is a spring kit available. If the brake pedal return spring does not correct the problem the actuator piston should be replaced.
Intermittent transaxle shudder during torque converter clutch apply may be caused by transmission fluid issues. Our technicians tell us that changing the fluid and filter, driving the vehicle 10 miles and changing the transaxle fluid again and correct this issue.
Poor electrical connections at the input or output speed sensors may cause the cruise control to become intermittently inoperative.
Revised transfer and output gears are available to correct a load sensitive high frequency whine from the transaxle.
The shifter may become locked in neutral or reverse. A stronger reverse detent spring is available to correct this condition.
A squeak noise when shifting out of gear may develop where the shift cable attaches to the gear shift lever. Our technicians tell us the shifter assembly must be replaced to correct this condition.
