2003 Dodge Caravan Problems
RepairPal has identified the most common problems with the 2003 Dodge Caravan based on complaints from actual vehicle owners. We'll tell you what the problem is and what it'll take to fix it.
A moaning or fog horn sound may be heard while turning at a slow speed. Installing a finned power steering cooler will help alleviate the problem, but it may be necessary to replace the power steering rack.
A broken right engine mount bracket may cause a grinding, clicking, or knocking sound—or a vibration coming from the front end of the vehicle.
If a shudder is felt while turning the vehicle at low speeds, replacing the power steering hoses with revised hoses may be necessary. Also consider installing a finned power steering cooler.
The auxiliary heater hose connections (that are routed to the rear heater under the vehicle) can develop coolant leaks.
