Our Quick Take:
The brakes could fail without warning, increasing the risk of a crash.
What Should You Do?
We at RepairPal have designated this as a high priority recall; the brakes could fail without warning. Please contact your Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep dealer. They will check to see if your specific vehicle is affected and advise you on what to do next. Always have your vehicle identification number (VIN) handy when you call.
Some vehicles may have been assembled with a deformed brake booster input rod retainer or no retainer at all. As a result, the brakes may fail without warning, increasing the risk of a crash. Dealers will install a new brake booster input rod retainer to correct this problem. This recall is expected to begin during February 2010. The Chrysler recall number is J37.
