The occupant restraint control (OCR) module may malfunction and prevent deployment and proper operation of safety restraint devices such as the frontal air bags, seat belt pretensioners and side air bags in the event of an accident. This could increase risk of injury.
Certain vehicles equipped with a 2.4L engine can experience an unexpected engine stalling condition or engine failure.
The active head restraints may not deploy as expected during a rear impact collision.
The engine may stall and/or a fuel leak could develop from the fuel tank area due to a broken fuel control valve in the fuel tank assembly.
