2003 Dodge Ram 3500 Question: Dodge 3500 Diesel running sluggish

the problem started yesterday - infrequently, the vehicle seems to loose power and runs very rough - replaced fuel filter yesterday was running rough before we replaced the fuel filter and continues to run rough after the fuel filter was replaced.

    go and have the injectors checked and see if they need to be cleaned or replaced

    current cost of injectors..rebuilt Bosch-$400.00 each.....ouch.

    Fuel filter might be clogged, and/or the initial fuel pump might be failing. Filter first, and this should be changed every 50,000 miles or less preferably.

    I learned the hard way on this initial pump thinking that there was just the injector pump.
