Does not grind.
Have not been able to get it out of 5th. All others have been fine. Now none will go in gear.

Will it go in gear with eng. off? If so check clutch
system. If not check shifter and trans.for internal damage. Is trans.full of lube?
Can you move the truck by putting it in gear befor starting eng. then try to start
and see if it try's to move.

Thanks for reply. Will not go into gear with/without engine running. Seems to be locked in place, shifter will not fully move. Lube is fine and the lube is clean. Pulled shifter tower and wondering if the shifter ball into the trans is worn.

Trans is locked in neutral. Truck can be pushed but still does not allow shift into gear.
Before hand if shifted into fifth could hardly budge it out with a hard attempt.
Last week would not go into reverse. This straightened out. Today will not go into any gear.
