2000 Toyota Solara Question: Do I need struts $700 price tag. Do to rust. Ride appears fine.

I was told by the service station whoI know a long time, always fair. That my struts need to be replaced because of rust. $700.00. He told this last month when I replaced brakes. Prior to that he never mentined struts. Never had struts or ball joints replaced 140,000 miles.

    I would replace them. The rust on them will only increase eventually causing major damage to the struts and your vehicle. If you feel uncomfortable with his diagnosis, we can check the vehicle for you for no charge to confirm you need the replacement. Worse case, you have a second opinion!
