Do I need a new battery? on 2007 Toyota Highlander

Yesterday, my battery light came on twice during the day, but did not stay on. The car seemed to be running normally. This morning, the light never came on. Should I have it checked, or was that just a fluke?

The "battery" light refers to the charging system which means the alternator and its circuits. A random charging system light suggests that your alternator isn't always able to provide electrical power to the vehicle while your driving. That's needs to be checked before it leads to a no-start, or causes the car to quit while you are driving.
