 Rookie

When I shift into 1st gear, my car drags into gear only in first and second. When I am on the freeway or finally in gear on the streets, it drives just fine.

    sounds like is slipping by the way your discribe it. does the car move slowly forward but rpm's have higher than normal?

    Check fluids too. Cold fluid can make it difficult to get into gear. A good test is to put the e-brake on, start the car and put the transmission into 3rd. Slowly release the clutch and see if the car stalls. IF it it stalls right away then the clutch is working...
