Do brake dust shields work? on 2006 Mercedes-Benz CLS500

Do brake dust shields really work and how difficult are they to install?

I never tried the dust shields But I use this http://ace.imageg.net/graphics/product_images/pACE3-7141236dt.jpg available at most autoparts stores and it repels the brake dust for up to 6 months and you apply it on your wheels when they are clean and dry

Hi Dust shields can work but can heat up your brake pads faster and cause wear faster. RJ

It seems that you are trying to keep brake dust to a minimum on your wheels. A better option is to get full ceramic brake pads. They stop the car better and reduce brake dust to a minimum.
