Question: Digital Dash Doesn't Work

My digital dash doesn't work so I don't know how fast the car is going, how much gas I have, how many miles are on it etc. The only things on the dash that work are the blinker lights, the check engine light (which is always on and I just got my oil and everything else changed) and the cruise control light. At night, when the headlights are on, the left blinker indicator light in the dash stays lit constantly, but the right one only turns on when the right blinker is on. None of the gauge buttons work and I think there's 10 of them without going outside to look, but they beep when I push them. The dash also gets very hot if I am going on road trips and the lights are on for a long time, so I don't know if the dash lights might've melted anything or burned anything. I don't know what's wrong with it and I can't find anything even close to it in the list of repairs. I also replaced every fuse in my fuse box with new fuses and it didn't solve the issue. I just want to know what's going on and what it'll cost before I take it anywhere. Thanks!

It sounds like you have a complicated electrical problem, or problems, underlying the dash. It's going to be kind of hard to chase down, and it will likely be very expensive to fix--sorry for the bad news, but this is the most likely scenario.

What I recommend is to take it to an excellent diagnostic shop, and have them diagnose it--they'll probably charge you an hour's labor, but ask them if they'll credit that toward the repair, if you decide to do it.
