2001 Ford Focus Question: Dealer doesn't honor Recalls/TSBs

I called my dealer to ask about some Recalls/TSBs I found on this site that seem to affect my car -- the woman at the dealership said there were none, but if I wanted to bring it in they'd charge me $98 just to look at it, repairs/replacements extra. I had the campaign #s from the list at this site but she didn't want to hear them. Who's right, the dealership or this site? Is there an expiration date to Recalls/TSBs? Do I have any recourse?

    The dealership will have Recalls relevant to your vehicle searchable your VIN. Not all Focus are necessarily affected by each Recall campaign number. Your recourse is to ask the deal what Recalls have been issued for your VIN. If you are uncomfortable with they way they are treating you, then I would call Ford itself and ask them about your vehicle.

    Your state may also have an auto repair consumer protection arm, as in California with the Bureau of Auto Repair.

    Thank you for this advice!

    I will do both things you suggested: Contact Ford, and CA Bureau of Auto Repair.

    BTW: I searched through all Recalls/TSBs for 2001 Focus; not all were relevant; I only chose to inquire of those few.
