The daytime running lights are prone to burning out. Our technicians tell us that the light sockets may show signs of heat damage but usually are OK. Always be sure to use the correct replacement bulb for the best life expectancy. The new bulb recommendation for 2001-2003 models is #4114K (trade number).

My DLRs do not work. I have changed bulbs, fuses, checked relay. LIke others I found the sockets a little burned. I have turned the ignition on and took in out of park during the day. Still not lights. It is like there is no power going to the socket. Does anyone have suggestions as to how to fix this?
Can't get my DLR's to work, sockets look burned. Fuses are ok, bulbs replaced.
Daytime running light burns out every time I change them out.
Passenger side daytime running light won't work replaced with new bulb still dosent work socket shows burn signs
They burn too hot. Just bad design by GM. You can switch to LED lamps
bought the truck used, drivers side running light burned out twice in less than a year. Socket looks burned.
Right side DRL light will not work even with new bulb ?
Changed everything that i could think of and still just habe to keep buying more and more bulbs...

Same problem with the lights burning out, now the socket has burned up and fallen apart. No solution yet.maybe factory defect
Same- can't find a more robust bulb. They don't last.
Started happening near the same time as my dash cluster failed. i've tried different bulbs, I have just left both bulbs out after 4 attempts.
