Replaced bulbs 3 times. Finally bulb housings were chard beyond further use. As I was unable to find the root cause of the problem, simply unplugged the bulbs.
DRL bulbs and clips charred, replaced bulbs. Looking into LED replacement that run cooler and consume less power.
I have replaced the drivers running light at least 2 times per year. The last time, they replaced the entire socket...it was charred. I haven't replaced it since, but that was only 3 months ago.
